Egypt’s Sister by Angela Hunt

This story is a journey through ancient Egypt and Rome through the eyes of Cleopatra’s fictional best friend. It touches upon the struggles of the Jewish population, making speculations about the evolution of the old testament into the new testament. It also paints a vivid picture of what Alexandria and Rome looked like in the time of Julius Caesar. My favorite part was the cultural comparison between Egyptians, Romans, and Hebrews. The author did a great job waking this time period. If you like historical fiction based in ancient Egypt, you’ll enjoy this!
